Heavy Hearts are a rock and heavy metal band from Ontario who have two previous releases, a 2015 EP called Somewhere, a While Ago, and 2013’s Jacoba.The four songs on their new self-titled EP are not too heavy, but not too soft.

In these songs, they use a lot of different instruments to make the music, and there are a lot of extra sounds mixed in.

Unfortunately, these conditions cause these songs to be confusing to listen to.

Although they don’t play the style of music I enjoy, I tried to listen to them in different surroundings. Even still, the songs did not surprise me no matter how hard I tried.

Still, this EP is at least good for some party music.

Correction: A previous version of this story said that the band only had one previous release. We apologize for the mistake.

  1. They have two previous releases and “Somewhere, a While Ago” came out in 2015.

  2. Heavy metal? You think they’d get someone who knows what’s current with music to write a music review.

  3. The fact that you refer to this as both “heavy metal” and “party music” shows that you clearly have a two dimensional grasp music that’s out there

Maybe stick to reviewing things you’ve done your homework on instead of giving your two cents on something that has clearly flown right over your head.
