New York-based rock band Today’s Outfit recently released their debut EP, Your Perfect Self. The release offers fresh music that both resonates with its audience and provides them with a touching musical experience.
What I really like about this album is its originality. Each track has a deeply original take on the theme that the song is portraying. For example, the music on the song “On Fire” uses a totally unique blend of instruments to convey the power of love to its audience.
Another thing I like about this this band—featuring vocalist/keyboardist Andrew Wood, whose solo record under the Thurlowood moniker we reviewed in 2020—is that it’s not afraid to take risks with its subject matter. The songs on Your Perfect Self are mainly about love, but they don’t shy away from conveying hard truths.
Your Perfect Self explores timeless themes of love and all of its quirks in one beautifully orchestrated record that’s sure to have listeners dancing around their living rooms.
