BCFS supports free contraception

The British Columbia Federation of Students (BCFS) recently voted to support the AccessBC campaign. This campaign holds the provincial government accountable for promising to make all prescription contraception free in their 2020 platform. Camosun College students are all paying members of the BCFS.

Camosun Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant program gets provincial boost

Due to the current state of the provincial health-care system, the province is providing $228,720 to support students in Camosun’s Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant program. This funding will reduce students’ tuition in September by $9,530 to make the program more financially accessible at $5,000.

Seaspan donates equipment and supplies to Camosun trades students

Camosun College trades students have received a donation of equipment and supplies from Seaspan, a longtime partner of Camosun. This donation allows students to better prepare for a career in the trades in fields such as welding and sheet metal.
