Camosun dining goes cashless
As of Monday, August 24, Camosun College dining services no longer accept cash. Credit and debit will be the only methods of payment available for students.
Camosun students showcase technology capstone projects
Camosun College students showcased their final projects at the Technology Capstone Showcase on Friday, August 14. Students from Mechanical Engineering Technology, Interactive Media Developer (IMD), and Information and Computer Systems (ICS) programs demonstrated projects developed for industry, education, and community applications. The capstones included a renewable energy system, carbon-dioxide-to-chalk converter, environmental monitoring buoy, automated manufacturing equipment, software applications, games, and augmented reality experiences. Mechanical Engineering projects were presented at the Interurban campus, while IMD and ICS students showcased their work at the Lansdowne campus.
Greater Victoria Hiring and Education Expo returns
The Greater Victoria Hiring and Education Expo will return on Thursday, September 10 at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre. The free event will run from 11 am to 3 pm and connect people with employers, post-secondary institutions, and training providers. Representatives from Camosun College, Royal Roads University, Sprott Shaw Community College, and the University of Victoria Division of Continuing Studies will be available to discuss programs, admissions, and career-focused training. The event is intended for people seeking employment, considering a career change, or exploring further education.
Chargers to host volleyball championships
The Camosun Chargers will host the PACWEST volleyball championships next year. The games will be held on February 26 and 27, 2027.
