Lacey-Lou Tapas Bar is a quirky, distinctive restaurant located at 1320 Broad Street. Lacey-Lou has a fine balance of art, food, and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Lacey-Lou considers itself an art lounge, tapas bar, and an entertainment venue. It\u2019s a one-stop shop. The red brick walls showcase local artistic talent, displaying graffiti, comics, tattoo art, pop surrealism, and more.<\/p>\n

Whenever I\u2019m there I allow my eyes just to wander, taking in all of the different collections of artwork. The tapas menu is unique and can be easily described as \u201ceccentric.\u201d They have really played with traditional meals by adding unthought-of elements.<\/p>\n

The brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am until 1 pm. There are only four food items to choose from on the brunch menu: I highly recommend the Sriracha chicken waffle bites, which is crispy and spicy chicken breast on top of waffle bites. Pair that with a maple bacon Caesar, which has candied maple bacon and mozzarella as a garnish, and you will be thanking me later.<\/p>\n

But my favourite menu item is the bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with almonds and feta (and I have had dreams about this appetizer). Sweet, salty, and absolutely divine, I am drooling just thinking about them.<\/p>\n

Yet, what I love so much about this restaurant is what it represents. It\u2019s not just a place to grab a bite or a drink: it exhibits local talent on their walls, features local food, and is a place for local artists to perform.<\/p>\n
