Campbell has worked in the business for the last decade, taking on roles such as improv performer, stage manager, and, now, producer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s actually pretty helpful because I\u2019ve already got a knowledge base on so many different areas of the festival,\u201d she says of her experience. \u201cIt just takes all the guesswork out. This year my job actually really kind of entails going and seeing more shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the shows to see is <em>Perpetual Wednesday<\/em>, a two-person comedy following Walter and Bruce (played by Anthony Arnista and Jacob Trillo), who have killed someone as the show begins. The two characters in <em>Perpetual Wednesday<\/em> were created during a theatre-school project; Arnista says their teacher, who \u201cdidn\u2019t always say positive things easily,\u201d was in awe of the duo\u2019s talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were like, \u2018Oh, this is a good thing, maybe we should keep doing it,\u2019\u201d says Trillo.<\/p>\n<p>The two actors say that turning the writer in themselves off when it comes time to take the stage doesn\u2019t really happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re kind of one and the same,\u201d say Trillo. \u201cOftentimes when we write something, when we actually get up and physically do it, it\u2019s like \u2018Whoa, that\u2019s boring\u2019, or, \u2018Oh my god, that doesn\u2019t really work.\u2019 So one doesn\u2019t really end or begin, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The duo says being together off stage is almost as fun as it is on stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s essentially just about these two guys that run this shammy magic show; just classic physical comedy,\u201d Trillo says of <em>Perpetual Wednesday<\/em>. \u201cWe always kind of joke that these characters are just us turned up to 11. There\u2019s a lot of truth in that relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two enjoy being on the road and performing together, but it\u2019s not without a bit of homesickness.
