But a judge stayed the case\u2014meaning Srivastava will not be charged, or have a criminal record\u2014because, he said, the case had gone on longer than necessary. If the censure follows through, future faculty will be asked by the Canadian Association of University Teachers to not accept positions at the college. Moreover, current faculty will be requested to not accept honours or take part in conferences held at the college.<\/p>\n<p><b>Campus cafe shut down over ad<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Verita\u2019s Cafe at Ontario\u2019s Wilfred Laurier University has been shut down by the university\u2019s graduate students association after the cafe posted a help-wanted ad. The catch? The ad said they were looking for a \u201ca new slave to boss around.\u201d The ad, which was intended to be perceived in jest, resulted in operator Sandor Dosman being escorted off campus by security guards. The university said that they support the decision; however, many students are upset, and Laurier ethics professor Byron Williston said the graduate students association are acting like \u201cspoiled children\u201d and \u201cbehaving like petty bullies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Got a news tip?
