The release is his most experimental work to date\u2014the former Oasis guitarist has teamed up with DJ\/producer David Holmes, finding a bombastic new take on retro.<\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t a return to form, but it isn\u2019t new, either: it\u2019s \u201970s glam rock meets \u201990s dance mix and, hey, let\u2019s throw in a marching band for good measure. And, sure, \u201cHoly Mountain\u201d is a monstrosity that will make you cringe as you sing it in the shower, but guilty pleasures are still pleasures.<\/p>\n<p>Gallagher brings newfound confidence to the mic, and he sounds ready to be a frontman.
