As soon as K-os got on stage the audience was hyped and could barely keep up with the freestyle he was dishing out. He was fully equipped with a guitarist, bassist, drummer, and DJ, which gave the show a diverse dynamic.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1533\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1533\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1533\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kos-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kos-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kos-180x119.jpg 180w, https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/kos.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1533\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">K-os (photo provided)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pretty soon he was jamming of cover of Naughty by Nature&#8217;s &#8220;O.P.P.,&#8221; then followed up with his tweaked version of Dr. Dre and Eminem&#8217;s classic &#8220;Forgot About Dre,&#8221; replacing &#8220;forgot about Dre&#8221; with &#8220;forgot about K.&#8221; K-os also covered &#8220;Yesterday&#8221; by The Beatles, telling the audience that The Beatles are currently his favorite band in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Not only did K-os show his talent in freestyling and cover songs, he also showed that he knows how to beat-box well\u2026 extremely well. He was beat-boxing along with the band, showing the audience that he can also vocalize artistically without using words.<\/p>\n<p>K-os describes his music as a fusion of rock and roll and hip-hop. At one point, he claimed he needed to get the rocker out of him and screamed into the mic, then said, &#8220;Sorry, I&#8217;m a rapper, I shouldn&#8217;t be doing this.&#8221; He then continued to scream and rock out more until he jumped into the crowd and did a little bit of crowd surfing.<\/p>\n<p>K-os made his set complete with some of his classics, like &#8220;Man I Used to Be,&#8221; &#8220;Crucial,&#8221; &#8220;Superstar Part Zero,&#8221; &#8220;Sunday Morning,&#8221; and finished off the show&#8217;s encore with a powerful performance of &#8220;Crabbuckit.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>K-os, The Dirty Mags Thursday, November 24, Club 9ONE9 K-os lived up to his name when he recently performed at Club 9ONE9 and fired up the audience with his energy and talent.
