The panel participants will discuss oil-spill risks to marine waters and shores on southern Vancouver Island. The free event runs from 6 pm to 9 pm and will include music courtesy of DJ Southern, as well as a cash bar. Bryce will be screening the movie about the life of his great-grandfather, who was the chief medical health officer for the Department of Indian Affairs in 1907. The Gutsy Walk offers people living with these diseases, as well as those who support those people, the chance to come together to raise funds for this cause. Meeting at Esquimalt Gorge Park (1070 Tillicum Road), supporters can sign up for a 2.5- or 5-km walk. Registration begins at 9 am, with opening ceremonies at 9:30 am.
