Local rockers The Bad have a real sassy, upbeat, invigorating groove on their new LP Under Canadian Skies<\/i>, which follows up their 2015 debut, Seasons<\/i>. The beats and riffs on this LP could jumpstart hearts, as could the energetic vocals in \u201cMoving to the Country.\u201d It\u2019s a perfect combination of whisky, hard work, and blue-collar talent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And there\u2019s some variety, too: the band picks up grains of modern country that fade away partway through \u201cBooger,\u201d giving way to a really unique form of country-rock I\u2019ve never quite heard before.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s chemistry is what keeps me coming back to this album. The heartfelt harmonics combined with the drums in the ballad-ish track \u201cWhere\u2019s My Home?\u201d are beautiful; that song\u2019s complex lyrics are reflective and capture universal Canadian memories, proving that this band is capable of pushing themselves lyrically.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
