Toronto-based singer\/songwriter Domanique Grant\u2019s new EP, Playhouse<\/i>, features six songs, each with its very own character.<\/p>\n

Playhouse<\/i>\u2019s first song and single, \u201cInvestment,\u201d impresses with its blend of strong pop beats with some indie melody. This song could make audiences sway (and so could its video).<\/p>\n

But if the first song is strong and bold, the next two songs are the total opposite\u2014they are extremely soft, calm, and beautiful. Personally, they are my favourites, and I love to turn them on after a long day at work or school; it\u2019s nice to simply listen to them while chilling on my couch.<\/p>\n

The songs on the rest of the EP are no longer just songs; they are Grant\u2019s diary, her stories, and her personal perspectives about different angles of life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
