Shack attack:<\/strong> If you\u2019ve ever wondered exactly what\u2019s on the trails north of Lansdowne campus, a story from our February 7, 1994 issue might interest you. The piece \u201cAll good things must come to an end\u201d showed a photo of a shack with a \u201ckeep out\u201d construction sign on it, saying, \u201cA crudely constructed plywood shack, carefully camouflaged, was discovered last week in a small strip of woods on the north side of Lansdowne campus.\u201d What was inside it? What\u2019s inside all good shacks in the woods? \u201cBeer bottles, cans, boxes, and crates,\u201d according to the story.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Inequality in the workplace:<\/strong> The story \u201cHumor and glass escalators\u201d is noteworthy for demonstrating how Nexus<\/em> used to use American spelling (ugh), and also for a particularly sobering quote from Camosun term instructor Susan Buck, who said that \u201cmen face a glass escalator not a glass ceiling when they enter a female predominate field. They are actually at an advantage.\u201d What do you think? Has anything changed all these years later?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
