The band plays a fusion between hard-hitting post-punk and hostile shoegaze, and they do a great job of it here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This album throws you into the soundscape of a dive bar with its first track, \u201cSilver Tongues,\u201d which furnishes your eardrums with its throbbing, disobedient death march of a guitar rhythm, spackled with dissonant leads that are reminiscent of a Tool song.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sinister cadence of the title track is consistent throughout the entire album, as the band erratically winds down in intensity to the album closer, \u201cDysphoria.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crows does an excellent job of playing with genres throughout this album, giving it a dynamic presence and making it an easy listen from front to back, especially for those of you with extremely eclectic music taste.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All and all, I anticipate that <em>Silver Tongues<\/em> will be a solid step forward for the band.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CrowsSilver Tongues\u00a0(Balley Records)4\/5\u00a0 Silver Tongues is the debut album from London\u2019s Crows.
