The songs are often easily forgettable, with unintelligible lyrics that have no bearing to the rest of the album\u2014or even the song, in the case of \u201cLast Bus,\u201d \u201cMike Myers,\u201d and \u201cWhere\u2019s My Guy.\u201d The majority of the songs blend together after a while with similar beats and near-identical styles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My favourite song on the album is \u201cWildStar,\u201d which plays like a slow dance song from an \u201980s teenage romance movie.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an indie-rock sound and a completely unique funky style, Van Goose deserves at least one or two open-minded listens.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van GooseHabitual Eater(Cardboard Queen Records)3\/5 The best way to describe Van Goose\u2019s debut album would be \u201can indie futuristic secret agent videogame soundtrack.\u201d And even though it\u2019s a debut, the sole member of Van Goose, Shlomie Lavie, has been around the music industry for years and is the drummer of alt-rockers Marcy Playground.
