Camosun College announced on Saturday, April 6 that a Camosun student with measles was at the Lansdowne campus on Wednesday, March 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The student was in the Young Building between 1:30 and 6:20 pm, and at the bookstore between 2 and 4 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symptoms of measles include a runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat, red eyes, and diarrhea. A few days after the initial symptoms, those infected may get a rash on their face that spreads to their chest. As measles is contagious, if you get symptoms, call your doctor before going to the clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an email sent out by the college, the student is “responding well” to treatment. The college also said in the email that it is working closely with Island Health, who is “monitoring the situation.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
