With a career that spans nearly 30 years and is littered with Junos and hits, Canadian rock legends Headstones are back with their ninth album. Peopleskills <\/i>continues with the same stripped-down sound present on the Toronto-based band\u2019s previous effort, Little Army<\/i>.<\/p>\n

At times on the punk side of rock, at other times on the rock side of punk, Peopleskills <\/i>delivers 11 solid, driving tracks of what\u2019s now called classic rock. Opening with the lead single \u201cLeave it All Behind,\u201d the tone is set early and they don\u2019t look back.<\/p>\n

With its punishing guitar and a one-two punk beat consistent throughout, most of the album is good, but not great. That changes with the acoustic power ballad \u201cMotorcade,\u201d and the following cut, \u201cCaught in a Loop,\u201d both of which stand a cut above the rest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
