This was following a 7.75-percent tuition raise in 1994. Then-chair of the Camosun College Student Society Sara Kemp said in the story, \u201cHow do they expect students to survive? They are already using the soup kitchen and food bank on a regular basis.\u201d Sadly, tuition raises remain at the forefront of student concerns here in 2020; thankfully, there are still resources like food banks and soup kitchens to help out.<\/p>\n<p><b>Never-ending raises for international students, too:<\/b> The story \u201cProposed tuition fee increase forces international students to reconsider college choices\u201d reported the same issue we did in our recent two-part story looking at concerns of international students today: they have to pay a lot of tuition. There\u2019s a simple reason\u2014domestic students\u2019 tuition is subsidized by the government\u2014but that doesn\u2019t take away the sting for the students, some of whom, in this story, were saying that they might as well go to the USA to study if it was going to be so expensive at Camosun. \u201cThere are many opportunities there,\u201d said student Tejo Wahidin, \u201cand much more things to do, compared to Victoria.\u201d Burn.<\/p>\n<p><b>Answering the tough questions:<\/b> After all this dour talk of tuition, a random article called \u201cWhy do men have nipples?\u201d really got the bottom of things. I mean, it\u2019s a fair question, after all. Among the answers was that nipples are an erogenous zone, there to encourage hugging.
