Individual workstations have been available to book at the Lansdowne library since September. The CIBC Future Heroes Bursary Program will be investing $500,000 over the next two years at 50 schools: for two first-year Nursing students at the college, that means $2,500 toward one academic year from the bursary funds. The Camosun students who were awarded the bursary this year are Danielle Bonilla and Maya Patel. The award will be open again in the summer of next year for first-year students in the 2021\/22 academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>College awards Arts and Science students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Camosun recently awarded 76 Arts and Science students with 106 awards, totalling over $61,000. The awards are given to students with outstanding levels of scholarship and leadership. See <a href=\"www.camosun.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">camosun.ca<\/a> for more information on the college\u2019s awards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>City looking for applicants for accessibility committee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The City of Victoria is looking for people with accessibility challenges or experiences to be on its new Accessibility Advisory Committee for a one-year term. The committee is made up of nine voting members of the public and meets once every three months, and will make recommendations to city council to help make Victoria more accessible and inclusive.
