Camosun student gets bursary award<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Victoria Visual Arts Legacy Society recently announced its 2021 bursary award recipients. Among the five recipients was Camosun Visual Arts student Jake Duncan. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 bursary in recognition of their artistic achievements.<\/p>\n

StudentAid BC website hacked<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday, May 2, the StudentAid BC was hacked; the site was changed to display a message from a hacker group. The Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training and the Officer of the Chief Information Officer took the website down while it was being investigated. StudentAid BC says that no personal information was accessed or compromised, and the site is back up. The site was one of two provincial government sites that were hacked.<\/p>\n

City declares Day of Action Against Anti-Asian Racism<\/strong><\/p>\n

The City of Victoria has declared May 10 to be the Day of Action Against Anti-Asian Racism.
