Her music is often referred to as indie rock, however, it\u2019s softer than that, with a rhythm and base that is reminiscent of folk or country. Themes of returning home or reaching out to old lovers also heavily add to the old country music vibe.<\/p>\n<p>Doiron&#8217;s emotional vocals make her sound like an old soul, yet the electric guitar and bass lines often make songs that could be very slow sound punk and fresh.<br \/>\nHowever, what starts out funky only gets slower as it progresses until, eventually, it&#8217;s almost bland.
