A courageous confession:<\/b> Our November 25, 1996 issue featured a the cover story \u201cComing out of the closet about gay bashing,\u201d which featured a brave Camosun student opening up about being assaulted. Times have changed and much of it has been for the better, but reading this sobering story is a reminder that there is always much improvement to be made.<\/p>\n

Calling all chefs:<\/b> This issue featured a quick recipe for an Alfredo Supreme, which served as a good nudge to me that it\u2019s been a while since we\u2019ve had a food or recipe column here in the paper. What do you say, Camosun students? Anyone up for starting up one for the January semester?<\/p>\n

Late nights at Lansdowne:<\/b> Our Speak Up<\/i> question this issue was \u201cWhat extra-curricular activities would you like to see, or be involved in, on campus?\u201d Student Rits Yoshikwa said \u201cA pub in the evening on a Friday, rather than a Friday afternoon when there are classes.\u201d It\u2019s a suggestion we\u2019re still mulling over a quarter-century later.
