Canadian legends The Sadies are back with their 11th studio album, Colder Streams<\/em>. After 24 years of consistently putting out great music, this marks the end of an era as founding member and lead vocalist Dallas Good passed unexpectedly in February.<\/p>\n

The Sadies’ sound is difficult to define. Produced by Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire, Colder Streams<\/em> blends elements of country, rock, folk, jazz, and punk to find a sound that\u2019s contemporary yet timeless. Every track stands on its own but \u201cStop and Start,\u201d \u201cMessage to Belial,\u201d and \u201cMore Alone\u201d demonstrate the band\u2019s range in haunting fashion from the outset.<\/p>\n

While The Sadies\u2019 legacy was safe before it, Colder Streams<\/em> leaves no questions regardless of what comes next for the group. The record captures their entire existence while remaining experimental all these years after their debut, 1998’s Precious Moments<\/em>.<\/p>\n
