The production is much better this time around, with more interesting beats and sounds, however, her vocals again feel a bit lazy and sleepy.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The highlights on <i>So Close to What<\/i> are the lyrics, which are more complex and rewarding to follow than her last record, and there are definitely better choruses. But emotional inconsistencies fall flat throughout the album. Consistency would make this record a much more pleasant listen.<\/p>\n<p>So, even though the album is a big step up from her last two, <i>So Close to What<\/i> is still not great.
