Well, perusing our October 18, 1993 issue, we see a story on page 2 called \u201cPermaware to be reinstated,\u201d which says that, yup, the paper plates were out and real plates were on their way back. Problem solved (although keen eyes will note paper plates in\u00a0the cafeteria today). All we want to know is when people stopped using the phrase \u201cpermaware.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nexus-4-4-cover-FOR-WEB.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7823 alignleft\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nexus-4-4-cover-FOR-WEB.jpg\" width=\"252\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nexus-4-4-cover-FOR-WEB.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nexus-4-4-cover-FOR-WEB-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nexusnewspaper.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nexus-4-4-cover-FOR-WEB-180x130.jpg 180w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 252px) 100vw, 252px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Screw the mean<\/b><b>ing of life, these are more important:<\/b> We\u2019ve mentioned our <i>Excrementia Factorum<\/i> column a few times here, and for good reason: it was hilarious. In this issue, writer Shelley Evans pondered some of the big questions: \u201cIf I wore gloves all the time, would my hands smell like my feet? What kind of name is Chevy anyway? What do those guys wear under their kilts? How many people work at the Emergency Broadcast System and what do they do all day?\u201d We still don\u2019t have the answers, and we suspect that Evans doesn\u2019t either.<\/p>\n<p><b>Reign of complaints:<\/b> The story \u201cStudent handbook meets with disapproval\u201d chronicled the woes of student Doug McConnell, who was \u201cupset\u201d and \u201cdisgusted\u201d about certain entries in the Camosun College Student Society\u2019s student handbook. Of note were a couple entries listed on the calendar entry for November 1: \u201cFeast of the Dead\u201d and \u201cReign of the Goddess as the Old Woman,\u201d to which he said, \u201cWho cares?
