Technically, it was 20 years last year, but apparently the party kept going: seriously, those jazz and funk samples got a groove that just won\u2019t quit. Get your fix at Club 90NE9, doors at 9 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, November 6<br \/>\n<i>Challenge your cervix to a screening<br \/>\n<\/i>If you have been gifted with a cervix, the Island Sexual Health Society wants you to give it the attention it deserves. As part of an awareness campaign for cervical cancer, they will be holding a drop-in cervical screening clinic from 10 am-7 pm. The clinic is a non-profit organization providing vital services for anyone without a family doctor, so they are also encouraging donations. The organization wants to spread awareness of volunteer opportunities and sports programs for potential athletes. Debruin and a Special Olympics athlete will be at the Pacific Institute of Sports Excellence, Room 329b, at 12:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Fri-Sat, November 8\u20139<br \/>\n<i>Alberta Ballet dances to Sarah McLachlan<br \/>\n<\/i>Alberta Ballet has garnered praise for their popular series of popular music shows, including music by Joni Mitchell and Elton John. Their current show is based around the music of Canadian icon Sarah McLachlan. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy portrays the story of a woman\u2019s life with beautiful and powerful choreography, set to McLachlan\u2019s recognizable songs. The Juno Award winners released another critically acclaimed album this year that was long-listed for the Polaris Prize.
