Pizzeria Prima Strada is a pizza place featuring classical Italian thin crust pizzas fired in a wood stove, focusing on simple ingredients with a lot of flavour. I reviewed Prima Strada some months back<\/a>, and at that time left the pizzeria feeling somewhat salty… No, seriously; what I had was so salty I had trouble eating it without constant intakes of water.<\/p>\n

So, why did I go back? Well, when I walked out the first time, I felt like the eatery had so much more to offer than I got out of my first experience, and could not shake the feeling that I caught them on a bad night. And the food was not without redemption; they had some truly fantastic pizza crust, which certainly delivered on their wood-fired promise. So when I was given the opportunity to return, I figured it was worth the second shot. I\u2019m happy to say that it indeed was.<\/p>\n

Glossing over the d\u00e9cor, which I previously covered (wooden tables, bullet-holed lighting), I ordered the Pizza Bambino. It was really good: nice crust, flavourful sauce, and cheese. Simple and delicious, just as advertised! It was a very simple, very good pizza.<\/p>\n

I would now absolutely go back to Pizzeria Prima Strada for some more of their authentic wood-fired pizzas (although I will forever be gun-shy of the pancetta pizza), and am glad I gave it a second shot.<\/p>\n
