Made up of the well-known Canadian talent of Hawksley Workman, Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat), and Ryan Dahl (Age of Electric, Limblifter), Mounties can\u2019t miss. This non-profit group facilitated the Camosun FarmBox program, which provided organic edibles to students, and they have many other community programs. The Roper Show was one of the Zone\u2019s Bands of the Month last summer, but live shows are always better than listening to the radio. It goes down at Upstairs Cabaret.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, March 28<br \/>\n<em>Kids got the goods<\/em><br \/>\nThis year\u2019s South Vancouver Island Regional Skills Competition will be held at Camosun\u2019s Interurban campus. Watch middle- and secondary-school students show off their talents in various trades and technology skill contests. Categories include automotive, carpentry, fashion design, culinary arts, and more. And let\u2019s not forget the sumo robot competition! Their recent album, <i>Ski Mask,<\/i> is a diverse mix of styles, reminiscent of the Montreal music scene that spawned the band. They are touring with Escondido, a Nashville-based band playing desert-influenced roots music.
