Bone Thugs n Harmony

Club 9ONE9, Victoria, BC

It was a sold-out show packed with dancing, live energy, and thuggish, ruggish harmony.

The night started off with performances by DJ Speedyshoes, DJ Clinton, DJ Reign, The Scale Breakers, DRLCTS, Rich Bros, Terell Safadi and DJ Souls, J Bru, and Dilemma. It was a great way to start off the night with superb turntablism, MCing, and a fusion of old-school hits with new-school flavor.

As soon as headliners Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone of Bone Thugs n Harmony got on stage the dance floor went from packed to super packed. These guys’ energy gravitated the crowd towards them through their voices and music. At one point during their performance, the gravitation got so strong that a bunch of local ladies got up on stage and danced with them.

It makes sense that Bone Thugs n Harmony have collaborated with so many musicians because they were sending out mad love and shout-outs to all the artists that helped pave the road to Bone Thug’s success.

Bone Thugs n Harmony represented fallen rap heroes from the east and west side, performing their hits “Notorious Thugs” featuring Notorious B.I.G., “Thug Luv’” featuring TuPac, and, of course, “Foe tha Love of Money” featuring Eazy-E, who first discovered Bone Thugs.

Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone finished off the night with a pumped up performance of “Tha Crossroads,” a song in tribute to Eazy-E that won Bone Thugs n Harmony a Grammy in 1997.
