First there was Portal/Well in 2015. Then came Marrow Hymns in 2018. Now, the path continues with Brooklyn-based experimental doom metal band Insect Ark’s third harrowing album, The Vanishing.

For nearly 10 years, Insect Ark have been producing amazing work that does a great job of entertaining its audience. By blending the sounds of bass, guitars, and drums, Insect Ark have crafted a meaningful and musical piece of art by expressing to the audience stories that explore themes of horror, suspense, and a little bit of outer-space travel. Together these themes convey the artists’ feelings on the subject the particular track is about.

On this album, Insect Ark manages to outdo everything that they’ve done before by doing everything a good follow-up should do: expanding on what worked before while being brave and adding bold and original ideas to the music.
