Music is one of art’s most transportive tools. This is because it is one of the most important tools that can help an artist give his messages and stories life. By using their music to transport listeners to exotic places like a dystopian future reminiscent of the one explored in the classic science fiction movie Blade Runner, LA-based synth/art-rockers Spacette make their self-titled debut EP one heck of a ride.

Spacette is an amazing new band—they’ve only been together since March—who specialize in making music that has the power to make their listeners believe they are really at the places the music is portraying. For example, when this EP is at its best, the listener instantly feels like they could be in a futuristic world where human beings are at war with androids and cars fly instead of drive, while, really, they are in their car driving home from work, listening to Spacette.

This is the power of great music, and that is exactly what Spacette give us with their debut musical treat.
