COVID-19 exposure reported at Interurban campus

According to a post on its site, Camosun College was notified on Wednesday, May 19 by Island Health about a COVID-19 exposure that occurred on Monday, May 17 at the college’s Interurban campus.

The exposure was at the Alex and Jo Campbell Centre for Health and Wellness. Island Health has begun contact tracing to identify anyone who has what is considered a high-risk exposure, and those people will be contacted directly. Isolation is not required unless Island Health has identified anyone as having had high-risk exposure.

The college has used a Clorox 360 disinfecting machine in the affected areas, “out of caution only,” according to their post.

This is the second reported exposure at Camosun, with both taking place at Interurban. The first was last month.
