
An instructor in Camosun’s Management and Human Resource Leadership department has been identified as the victim of a homicide.
Laura Gover-Basar, who also taught at Vancouver Island University, was killed on January 5 in Saanich; Gover-Basar, who was 41, is believed to be the victim of intimate partner violence. Gover-Basar’s ex-partner Muhammed Ali Basar has been charged with second-degree murder.
